Project 01: Building Walkthroughs
Project Timeline: September - November 2023 (5 weeks)
Overview: Many first year students face difficulties in their first semester with way finding around NYU's open campus in New York City, causing feelings of frustration and confusion. The Building Walkthroughs are a series of 5 videos created to familiarize students with the campus buildings and centers.
Role: Producer, Co-Cinematographer, Co-Editor
Learnings: As the first video project I led, the Building Walkthroughs was a fun undertaking that taught me to be resourceful in the filming and editing process. Filmed entirely on mobile phones, the videos were challenging to capture in such busy environments. However, with some trial and error, our team was able to create a cohesive structure for our videos and publish them on YouTube.
Impact: Achieved combined total of 3.1k+ views on the series as of May 2024.
Project 02: Student Guides
Project Timeline: December 2022 - January 2023 (7 weeks)
Overview: The student guides are a series of 3 articles published on Meet NYU and the NYU Student landing page to address the learning curve first-year students face throughout their first semester: registering for their classes, balancing their schedule, and paying bills.
Role:
Impact: Achieved a combined total of more than 1.5k page views on Meet NYU.
Project 03: #MarchMadness Post Design
Project Timeline: March 2023 (1 week)
Overview: The #MarchMadness Post was a concept first used in Spring 2022, offering followers of @meetnyu (NYU's official admissions instagram) the chance to vote for the "most iconic NYC character." For this project, I collaborated with a team of 4 design fellows to curate assets and enhance the visual design from the previous year.
Role: Graphic Designer
Changes: The redesigned version features a departure from the conventional New York landscape to a custom collage of characters for the backdrop. The color palette was also refined to align more closely with the admissions theme for 2023.
Impact: Achieved 3.1k likes, 4.6k engagements, and 76.9k impressions
