Project Overview:

Teen Stress & Wellness is a youth mental health organization based in California. I worked with the founders over the course of 5 weeks to design their website and brand with the goal of increasing access to digital resources that support teen mental health.

Objectives:

  1. Design WordPress site content and interface to better engage a teen audience, ensuring resources are intuitive, relatable, and easy to navigate.
  2. Promote the founders' newly released book aimed at helping teens manage stress.
  3. Create a modern style guide for Teen Stress & Wellness across their website and social media.

Scope & Process:

This project involved a full-cycle UX/UI redesign, from research to implementation. I conducted competitor research to identify industry best practices, held biweekly meetings with the founders to align on goals and gather feedback, and designed high-fidelity prototypes in Figma. After refining the designs through iterative feedback, I implemented the final website in WordPress.

Reflections:

Working on this project taught me the value of iterative design and frequent, clear communication with stakeholders. Meeting with the founders throughout the process to receive feedback on the designs ensured that the website aligned with their vision and user needs. If I had more time, I would've liked to conduct usability testing to note areas for improvement. Overall, this project enabled me to grow my WordPress skills and practice translating UX/UI concepts into a functional website.
